Mikaela Holley, PT, DPT

Staff Physical Therapist

Mikaela Holley earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2020 and went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy there in 2024. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and holds certifications in Functional Dry Needling Level 1 and Herman & Wallace Level 1. Her clinical interests include orthopedics, particularly the lumbar and thoracic spine, hip, and shoulder, as well as pelvic health with a focus on pregnancy, childbirth preparation, postpartum care, urinary dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, core strengthening, and glute activation.

Mikaela’s journey into physical therapy was shaped by a life-changing experience during her senior year of high school when she sustained a neck fracture after being hit by a drunk driver, ending her softball career. Through her own rehabilitation, she discovered the impact of physical therapy and turned a difficult season into a purpose-driven career. She is known for bringing compassion and positivity into every patient interaction and is often recognized as “the hugger,” believing that encouragement and connection play a vital role in healing.

Outside of the clinic, Mikaela enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking new recipes, mentoring youth, and staying active with pickleball. She also loves R&B music from the 90s to early 2000s, trying new restaurants, and attending NFL and college football games, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and the Alabama Crimson Tide. She is actively involved at Rock City Church, serving in both the welcome and media ministries.
