Katie Stevens earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders from the University of Alabama in 2012 and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015. She became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2022 and has experience in outpatient, acute care, and long-term acute care rehabilitation, as well as participation in joint camp programs.
Her clinical interests include manual therapy, splinting, and functional task training.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughters, reading, and traveling. She became an occupational therapist because she loves helping people, whether it’s strengthening a hand for a woodworking hobby, teaching safe ways to dress with hip precautions, or helping someone regain confidence to return to work. She finds joy in serving others and celebrating her clients’ achievements.
