JC McNamara, PT, DPT

JC is a Birmingham native and earned his B.S. in Kinesiology (2016), M.S. in Exercise Physiology (2018), and Doctor of Physical Therapy (2023) — all from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is certified in Functional Dry Needling Level 1, and his clinical interests include orthopedics, geriatrics, fall prevention, and manual therapy techniques.

JC’s passion for physical therapy began when he was a patient himself after knee surgery in college. The care he received at TherapySouth inspired him to join a profession where he could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Outside of work, JC enjoys spending time with his wife, Jen, and their son, Conner. He’s an avid fan of Tennessee football and Braves baseball, and he enjoys playing golf. JC is a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover and grew up in the Oak Mountain community.
