Lymphedema is a collection of fluid that causes swelling in the body—usually in the arms or legs, but it can also include the trunk, head and neck, or genitals.

Following breast cancer treatment, lymphedema of the arm, hand and breast affects up to 25% of women.

At TherapySouth, our goal is to improve the quality of your life by decreasing swelling to allow for improved movement and tolerance to your work and daily activities. Exercise is critical to wellness, both during and after your treatment.

Our therapists will individualize your care to meet your needs and goals. We provide hands-on treatment for limbs that are swollen, have lost range of motion or are painful.

Sue’s restless leg syndrome and lymphedema has plagued her for years. Her doctor referred her to Therapy South to address her pain and struggles.

“The last ten years have been a whirlwind. I experience a lot of pain with my condition – it has been a nightmare. But I feel treated like royalty while I’m at Therapy South. My therapists have become like sisters to me!”
