Hand therapy is a specialized area of Occupational Therapy that primarily focuses on the treatment of injuries to the hand, wrist, and elbow. We treat a wide variety of hand therapy needs, from post-operative to preventative. Our OTs utilize various techniques and tools to tailor treatment to each patient’s specific needs. These treatments can include manual therapy, post-operative care, exercise programs, occupation-based activities, desensitization, physical agent modalities, dry needling and custom splint fabrication.

“After getting a hand injury while fishing, which is how I make my living, I was referred to TherapySouth for hand therapy. Their attention to detail was so impressive and it was obvious they cared. Even though I am finished with therapy they still check on me. I am back to 100% with no pain. It’s like I have a new hand. It was such a great experience at TherapySouth and I would recommend them to anybody.” – Wes L.
